Covid restrictions and a huge uptick in investigations mean that some local councils are resorting to trying to put claimants under caution for benefit fraud allegations by writing to them and simply telling them they are now under caution. It is doubtful that this is even lawful let alone good practice and if you get such a letter you should seek urgent specialist advice.
